O website da WWE confirmou que no próximo PPV da WWE, Elimination Chamber iremos ver o WWE Championship a ser defendido, pois o atual campeão CM Punk irá defender contra Chris Jericho, Kofi Kingston, Dolph Ziggler e The Miz num "Elimination Chamber Match".
Eles escreveram o seguinte: "In breaking news, Executive Vice President of Talent Relations and Interim Raw General Manager John Laurinaitis revealed exclusively to WWE.com the Superstars who will compete for the WWE Title in the Raw Elimination Chamber Match: WWE Champion CM Punk, Dolph Ziggler, Chris Jericho, R-Truth, The Miz and Kofi Kingston."
